1. How to Enter

You can enter in two ways. Both are entered into the same draw with the same chance of winning per entry.

No purchase necessary. Send a postcard or letter marked "EATO Ghana Competition Entry" including: full name, country of residence, mobile number, email address, written confirmation aged 18+, and written confirmation you hold or can obtain a valid passport. Send to:

Each postal entry = one entry. No limit on number of postal entries.

1.3 Closing Date

Competition closes at 23:59 GMT on 31 July 2026. Postal entries must be received or postmarked on or before this date.

2. Who Can Enter

• You must be aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
• Open to entrants worldwide, subject to applicable law.
• Winners must hold a valid passport with at least six months' validity from the scheduled travel date and are responsible for obtaining any required visa.
• Winners must be medically fit to travel.
• Employees, contractors, officers, directors, and immediate family members of MS EATO Ltd or Authentic African Media LLC are not eligible.

3. Winners

Winners are chosen by random draw from all valid entries within 7 days of each milestone or competition close, conducted by an independent person. Winners contacted within 5 business days and must respond within 7 days or the prize is forfeited. First names and country of residence may be announced publicly.

4. The Prize

• Return economy flights from winner's nearest major international airport to Accra, Ghana
• 5 nights in a 4-star hotel in Accra
• Curated cultural and culinary experiences in Accra
• Ground transportation for scheduled Prize activities

Not included: visa fees, travel insurance (mandatory — arrange independently), spending money, meals not on itinerary, personal expenses. Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. Refunds

Paid entries are non-refundable except where the competition is cancelled in full, a duplicate transaction is reported within 14 days, or a refund is required by applicable consumer protection law. If cancelled in full, paid entrants will be refunded via PayPal (less non-recoverable fees) within 30 days.

We process your personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details, see the Privacy Notice tab.

7. Publicity

Winners agree to participate in reasonable publicity — photos, video, social media, use of first name, country, and likeness. You can opt out of full name or likeness use by notifying us in writing when you accept the Prize.

8. Force Majeure

We won't be liable for failure to deliver the Prize due to circumstances outside our reasonable control — airline disruption, travel restrictions, natural disasters, pandemics, war, or civil unrest. We'll try to reschedule or offer an equivalent alternative but cannot guarantee cash refunds.

9–11. General, Complaints & Governing Law

We can disqualify fraudulent or improper entries. Our decisions are final. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for loss or damage is excluded except where it cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers outside England and Wales retain the benefit of any mandatory local consumer protections.

EATO and Authentic African act as joint controllers of your personal data — both have legal responsibility, and you can exercise your rights with either party.

2. What Data We Collect

• Identity: full name
• Contact: email, mobile number, country of residence, postal address (postal entries)
• Eligibility: confirmation of age 18+ and valid passport
• Transaction data (paid entries): payment amount, PayPal transaction ID, date/time, currency
• Communications: any correspondence you send us

We do not collect special category data. Winners may later be asked for passport details to book travel.

The Competition page does not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking widgets.
